Day 1-Arrive Fort Myers
Leave from Florence and head to Charleston for our flight to Fort Myers! Check into the hotel and tonight enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 2-Fort Myers
This morning enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel. Depart the hotel and head to Tarpon Bat Explorers for a tram tour where a on board naturalist will help you spot the many wildlife that call Florida home while also learning the tales of the Calusa Indians and the early days of Sanibel and South Florida. Before enjoying lunch, we will stop at the J.N Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge Education Center which is located on the subtropical barrier island of Sanibel, and is famous for spectacular migratory bird populations. After enjoying lunch on your own at Traders Restaurant, visit Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum for a self-guided tour. - This museum features more than 30 exhibits of mollusks from around the world. Tonight enjoy dinner at Connors Steak & Seafood before returning to the hotel.
Day 3-Fort Myers
This morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing to Wooten’s Everglade Airboat Tour. Glide across 259 private acres on the Everglades Grassland Airboat Tour. Afterwards, enjoy lunch on your own at Celebration Park Naples. Experience the ultimate waterfront dining destination. With an array of gourmet food trucks, refreshing handcrafted cocktails, and live music every day. After lunch, depart for Naples Botanical Garden. Naples Botanical Garden is among a handful of tropical gardens in the United States, a place to experience everything from rainforests to succulent displays to waterlily-laden pools to flowering trees whose bold colors enliven lush green backdrops. Arrive back at hotel and enjoy dinner on your own this evening.
Day 4-Key West
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing to the Key West Express! The Key West Express is a luxury, jet powered catamaran. Enjoy your approximate 4-hour boat ride to Key West. Once you arrive in Key West, you will enjoy lunch on your own and have free time to explore the downtown area and attractions with your hop on hop off trolley pass included. Enjoy dinner on your own during the boat ride back before arriving back in Fort Myers.
Day 5-Fort Myers
Enjoy breakfast at leisure for your free half day. Later, visit Edison & Ford Winter Estates, the Fort Myers winter homes for inventor Thomas Edison and automobile industrialist Henry Ford. Take a guided tour of Edison’s 14-acre riverfront estate, laboratory, and experimental gardens. The three-acre winter home of Ford, nicknamed Mangoes, features a display of Ford vehicles dating to 1914. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at Edison’s Lab Restaurant & Bar.
Day 6- Fort Myers-Flight Home
Enjoy breakfast before heading to the airport for our flight home with great memories of Florida!
