Day 1-Depart USA
Board your overnight flight for South Africa.
Day 2-Arrive cape town, south africa
Arrive in Cape Town, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel for a four night stay. Cape Town is commonly referred to as the “Mother City” by locals, as it was home to the first European settlement in South Africa. Hotel check-in is available mid-afternoon. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3-Discover Cape town
This morning take the Table Mountain Cable Car for incredible views of Cape Town. Table Mountain has been named as one of the seven wonders of nature and is the most photographed landmark in the country. Later enjoy a Cape Town City Tour featuring landmarks like the Castle of Good Hope (1666), City Hall, and the Grand Parade. Along Adderley Street, you’ll see St. George’s Cathedral and pass by the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter. Later enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers.
Day 4-Cape of good hope (Cape Point)
Enjoy a full-day Cape Point & Peninsula Excursion, traveling along the Atlantic Coast past scenic beaches and the towering Twelve Apostles. Visit fishing villages en route to Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you can walk or take Africa’s only funicular for stunning views. After lunch at Seaforth Restaurant by the beach, visit the African penguin colony at Boulders Bay and explore the unique flora of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Day 5-Leisure time-Cape winelands
Enjoy the morning at leisure or join an optional excursion to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years as a political prisoner. Many of the tour guides are former political prisoners. The tour includes a look at Mandela’s cell. This afternoon everyone will enjoy the included visit to the Cape Winelands for a Wine Tasting & Cellar Tour experience. The region is renowned for crisp white and classic French style red wines along with fantastic cheeses & olives.
Day 6- Cape town-Johannesburg-Dinokeng Game Reserve
This morning fly to Johannesburg. Upon arrival take a short ride north to the Dinokeng Game Reserve for a two night stay. Enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon Game Drive in one of the premier game-watching destinations in the world. It is possible to see all the classic African big game including elephant, black and white rhino, hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, warthog & antelope. Large carnivores include lion, leopard, cheetah & spotted hyena. After your safari experience return to the lodge for dinner with your fellow travelers.
Day 7- Dinokeng Game Reserve
Today enjoy Two Game Drives in the Dinokeng Game Reserve. One Game Drive will be early morning with the second Game Drive heading out in the late afternoon. The varied habitats on Dinokeng Game Reserve provide ideal conditions for an astounding selection of large mammals including the Big Five, and other predators such as Hyena & Jackal. That’s not to mention the elusive cheetah, cheeky honey badger and the omnipresent crèches of warthogs. Join us this evening for dinner at your lodge.
Day 8- Dinokeng Game Reserve-Johannesburg-Victoria Falls
After breakfast, transfer to Johannesburg for your flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival transfer to your lodge & check in for a two night stay. The mighty Zambezi River plunges 300 feet into the Zambezi Gorge creating breathtaking Victoria Falls. This evening enjoy a Zambezi Explorer Sunset Cruise to take in the scenery and watch for wildlife while sipping and sampling from a selection of included drinks and canapes onboard the 140 seat boat.
Day 9- Victoria Falls
This morning take a Victoria Falls Walking Tour to experience “One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.” There are several spectacular vantage points along the width of the Falls. Walk through the rain forest which flanks the Falls and stop to marvel at the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot and Livingstone Island. Feel the thunderous noise and see clouds of iridescent spray rise upon the water’s impact, often forming vivid rainbows during this awe-inspiring experience. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. Maybe visit the local craft market or enjoy the amenities of your hotel.
Day 10- Victoria Falls-CHobe National Park
his morning travel to the Chobe National Park area for a two night stay. Located in northern Botswana, Chobe has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa and is Botswana’s first national park. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. Later enjoy your first Game Drive in Chobe National Park. The park is famous for large herds of elephant and buffalo, and large prides of lion. Leopards, African wild dogs, antelope, and hippopotamus can also be spotted in the park.
Day 11- Chobe National Park
Early this morning head out on a Game Drive in Chobe National Park. Enjoy the middle of the day at leisure to enjoy lunch at the lodge. Late afternoon enjoy a Chobe River Cruise for a unique up-close and personal game viewing and bird watching experience along the Chobe River. Join your fellow travelers this evening for a Farewell Dinner at your lodge.
Day 12- Chobe-Victoria Falls-Johannesburg-Flight to USA
Today transfer back to Victoria Falls to board a short flight to Johannesburg. Later board your flight bound for the USA.
Day 13-Arrive USA
Today arrive home with exciting memories of your South Africa & Victoria Falls Adventure.
